[ CentOS 5 - Desktop Env ] Install Compiz ( Part 3 )

Install Compiz

Step [1]

Install Compiz and make your desktop 3D. If graphic card on your computer is by Intel i810 - i965, or later, it's OK. But if your graphic card is by nVidia or ATI, Install grapgic driver for linux that is provided from them. however, if your graphic card is very old one, it's impossible to make desktop 3D if you install this Compiz.

[root@ns ~]# yum -y install compiz* [root@ns ~]# startx

Step [2]	Select [System] - [Preferences] - [Desktop Effects], then following screen is shown. Click Enable and check boxes. Well, It's OK.

Step [4]	Move to other workspace ⇒ [Ctrl] + [Alt] + cursor key or [Ctrl] + [Alt] + move mouse with keeping left-clicking
